FAQS

  • Get Going is exactly that - everything you need to ‘Get Going’. This is the route that most women start coaching with me and then join my 1-1 Coaching after the 10 week point.

Occasionally I may recommend some women go straight to 1-1 Coaching and I will let you know if I think that is the best option when I read your application form.

If you think you would prefer to start straight with 1-1 you will be able to indicate this on your application and if you aren’t sure, I can let you know what I would advise!

  • Get Going 10 week coaching starts on specific dates over the year - typically January, April and August. Please see the next intake date on my pricing page. If you have missed the start date, or the spaces have all been filled, I’m sorry but you will have to wait until the next start date. Should you wish you secure your space, you can do so with a deposit.

1-1 Coaching dates are not published on my website as they are filled ‘one in one out’ and ‘first come first served’ of the next person to apply. It may be that I have a space next month, or no space for the next three months so get in touch for my up to date availability.

  • Not at all. Non-physique related goals such as improving mental and physical energy, sleep and cardiovascular health are common goals of the women I work with. Some women are more interested by the education side of things - learning about how they should eat and train rather than changing how they look.

No one is obligated to have any physical body transformation goal to work with me.

  • I think there is a huge misconception about who gets coaching - as if it’s only the ‘fitspo’ women on instagram posting videos of their booty building workouts!

The reality is very different and the majority of women I work with are women with families, careers and ’normal’ lives, trying to make sense of diet culture and misinformation online. I coach women who are in their 50s, so never think age is a barrier!

I cannot work with women under the age of 18 or those with an eating disorder: anyone with an eating disorder needs specialist help not online coaching.

  • You can work through the videos at whatever pace suits you: for Get Going I release three 15-30 minute videos each week. You don’t actually need to sit and watch the videos, you can listen to them as if they are a podcast so you can do this while walking, cooking or shopping! I have summarised the key points of what I cover on each slide so if you are more of a visual learner, you can read along!

All my educational videos first start with fundamental principles and I build on these foundations in later videos. As your knowledge and understanding develops you will find the progression of educational videos natural.

I have years of experience breaking down the complexities of the human body to patients, relatives and other non-medical professionals. However as always, if you do not understand anything you only need to ask and I will help you!

  • You could simply follow along with the activity, food and lifestyle targets I have set you. However, I don’t recommend this.

  • I design your entire exercise programme around what you actually have - whether that is a seated hamstring curl, lying hamstring curl, both… or none because you are training at home! I do this after looking at your current shape and what (if anything) you’d like to achieve physically so that everything is completely suited to you.

If you are training at home and have limited equipment, I will make some recommendations of what you could pick up for a low cost to bring variety and enjoyment to your workouts. However, you don’t have to have any equipment at all, if you don’t want to.

  • Defintiely not. Supplements are there to supplement only and are an optional extra. I do run a whole educational series on supplements such as vitamins, creatine, EAAs, protein powders… and what to look out for. However there is no need to take them.

  • My coaching is based on educating you how to eat a balanced diet, not giving you an inflexible meal plan to follow for 10 weeks and get temporary results.

If you cannot or do not want to eat specific food groups that is absolutely fine as I will be educating you on how to build your own diet plan that you enjoy (as that’s the one you’ll stick to!)

I provide recipe ideas and example meal plans but nothing is compulsory to follow, they are all examples which can be modified however you need.

  • No. I am a qualified UK medical doctor registered with the GMC but I no longer practice medicine and I am not a substitute for your family doctor. If I think someone has a physical or mental health condition, I’ll advise them to seek medical advice through the appropriate channels.

  • Absolutely not. My coaching is 100% private. It is your choice if you share that we are working together.

  • My 1-1 Coaching clients have access to Charles for unlimited 1-1 exercise form video analysis and physiotherapy advice. However, our two 1-1 online coaching client bases are completely separate from each other - I coach my clients and he coaches his.

  • Before setting you up with your exercise plan, nutritional targets and other health habits and goals, I must have received payment in full to begin working on this.

If you know you would like to start but don’t yet have the full payment, when you apply please indicate that you would like to secure a space on a future intake with a deposit.

  • Not a problem! If you have question you would like to ask me privately before filling out an application please send me an email at georgiegyms@gmail.com
